For families with young children this 4:oo Christmas Eve service has become a holiday tradition. Children participated in the Christmas story. The Krystal Bells provided special music. At the end of the service young children "cracked" a glow stick, and older children and adults lit candles for the traditional candle lighting and singing of "Silent Night."

When we catch a whiff of something we like, we stop to take a deep breath. We want more of it! And we all have certain smells that we cherish. Perhaps we recall how Christmas smelled in our childhood home, or Thanksgiving. We know the smell of our backyard in the fall, or of a cookout in July. The question for us to ponder together this Sunday is what worship smells like. It should be beautiful, shouldn't it? As Pastor David continues his Lenten sermon series on worship, "The Fragrance of Worship" will be our theme this Sunday, based on Leviticus 1:5-17.

Sermon Title: "All That He Is: Manna Man" Scripture: John 6:25-35 Preacher: Rev. David Kalas We are such relentlessly physical creatures that we even describe emotional, intellectual, and spiritual experiences in physical terms. We talk about feeling empty inside, devouring books, hungering for love, and having an appetite for adventure. How appropriate, then, that Jesus should introduce Himself to us as "the bread of life." Special music by the Arkeology Kids

Rev. Sarah Johnsen is preaching on the theme, "The Joy of Sports." The primary scripture will be 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27. The Apostle Paul used many references to sports in his letters to the early Christian churches. He knew that as both athletes and fans sports can teach us important life lessons. Come to worship ready to celebrate the God who has given each of us many gifts, including, for some, the gift of athletic talent.
