2011 Ministry Video - St John Barner's
St. John (Barner’s) Lutheran Church has been supporting an orphanage in Haiti for the past ten years. They recently collected medical supplies, clothing, and food which resulted in 3200 pounds of goods sent to Pignon, Haiti. This summer members of this congregation will go to Haiti to distribute the supplies.

2010 Ministry Video - Christ Shrewsbury
In 2007 a British documentary film “Bulgaria’s Abandoned Children” was made about a state institution in the village of Mogilino in northeastern Bulgaria, where 75 children lived. The country of Bulgaria, in southeastern Europe, has the largest number of physically and mentally disabled children growing up in institutions anywhere in Europe. Many children are incredibly malnourished and their appearance may remind you of pictures of starving African children. Since these children are heartlessly locked away in institutions this tragedy has gone unnoticed. Currently, there is no one to come to the aid of these children. Most of them cannot talk because no one has ever spoken to them. With nothing to do all day, they simply sit and rock backwards and forwards – a typical human response to lack of stimulation. Karina Association www.karinaassociation.org is a Christian charity organization registered in the U.S.A. to help these children and give them a better future. We are working to help improve the lives of Bulgaria's disabled children, reversing decades-long practices of neglect. These disabled children are placed to live in warehouses throughout the country's hidden places. Our goal is to provide community-based support in small group homes and Day centers.
